Top Music Festivals in India that Support Children’s Healthcare
June 22, 2026 | Contributed by Charu Dhasmana

Music festivals are known for their electrifying performances, vibrant energy, and unforgettable experiences. They bring together people from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared love for music. But beyond the entertainment, some festivals are creating a deeper impact, using their platform to support meaningful causes and transform lives.
In India, where access to quality healthcare remains a challenge for many underprivileged families, cause-driven events play an important role in raising both awareness and funds.
Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival (KRBF), one of the best charity music festivals in India, is one such festival that has successfully combined the universal appeal of music with the mission of saving little hearts.
The Growing Role of Music Festivals in Social Impact
Today, people seek experiences that align with their values, and festivals that support social causes are resonating more strongly than ever. When a music festival is tied to a meaningful purpose such as supporting children’s healthcare, it creates opportunities to:
- Raise funds for critical healthcare interventions
- Build awareness around pressing issues
- Encourage community participation
- Inspire individuals to become part of a larger movement for change
Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival: Music with a Mission
At Genesis Foundation, we’ve seen firsthand how music festival can become a hope for many children who’re desperately waiting for a second chance at life.
The Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival (KRBF), one of the best music festivals in India, was conceived by Genesis Foundation in 2012. It’s a 2-day event in the scenic hills of Kasauli, where music blends with hope, where all funds raised are used to support treatment for underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart defects (CHDs).
Why KRBF Stands Out
Most people don’t know but every year more than 2 lakh children are diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD) in India. While many of these conditions are treatable, access to timely and affordable cardiac care remains out of reach for countless families.
This is where the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival comes into action. More than a music festival, it’s a lifeline for kids who otherwise would’ve missed a fighting chance at life. A chance to live happily and healthily and dream bigger.
Believing strongly that music’s a positive and participatory force in the creation of change, the foundation invites established and upcoming artistes from India’s diverse pool of musical talent to perform here. They perform for the foundation’s cause- to support critically ill, and under-privileged children suffering from congenital heart defects (CHD). Music aficionados can contribute to the cause by simply doing what they love, that is listening and grooving to the beats of music.
Supporting Children with Congenital Heart Defects

This year was extra special as this year was not just the 10th edition of the top music festival in India, but this year also marks 25 years of Genesis Foundation. To honor this special milestone, the foundation’s team created a film to capture how the foundation functions.

The Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival 2026 was just as successful as last year! Even though there were strong storms and heavy rains, they weren’t stronger than the audience’s will. And this will, this unwavering support, helped the foundation raise enough funds to support 19 children with critical heart defects.

How the Best Charity Music Festival in India Raises Awareness
At the festival, our team engages with the audience and uses the festival as a platform to educate people about the situation of CHDs in India, highlighting how their support can make a life-changing difference in the lives of children who require medical intervention. We also invite children whose treatment has been supported by us to join us on stage, allowing the audience to see the real impact of their contributions. In this year’s edition, we brought 2 children with us: Prakash and Vandana (names changed). Read their stories below and see how they’re doing today.
