Hearts Behind the Foundation: Madam Methodical

Since a very young age, I have had a deep passion for social work and find immense joy in helping others. I have always dreamed of joining an NGO working for congenital heart disease, as their noble mission to save lives and provide support to underprivileged families in India truly inspires me to dedicate myself to a meaningful social cause and that is one of the primary reasons why I joined Genesis Foundation.

But before I talk about Genesis Foundation, I would like to throw some light on my academics.  The opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives, address social issues, and promote equality drives my desire to pursue a fulfilling career in this field.

Following my graduation in History, I made the deliberate choice to pursue a Master of Social Work degree.

Growing up in a family of academicians, our dining table conversations often revolved around reading newspapers and discussing current issues. This upbringing instilled in me a strong curiosity for knowledge and a keen interest in staying informed about the world, shaping my perspective and fuelling my passion for social work.

My father, an inspiration to me, was actively involved in philanthropic acts throughout his career, and even in retirement, he continues to selflessly serve the communities. His dedication to helping those in need has deeply influenced my desire to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in social work.

This decision stemmed from my aspiration to forge a career in social work, driven by a desire to comprehend the intricacies of society and dedicate myself to uplift the most marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Immediately after completing my master’s degree, I eagerly joined organizations dedicated to the welfare and rights of children. Through these experiences, I actively contributed to providing education and advocating for child rights, striving to create a positive impact on their lives and empower them for a brighter future.

Throughout my journey in social work, my passion and focus have consistently revolved around children and their protection. Their well-being and rights have been my driving force, as I am deeply motivated to ensure their safety, provide them with nurturing environments, and advocate for their needs to create a better world for the youngest members of our society.

During my tenure at the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, I gained valuable exposure at the grassroots level, allowing me to comprehend the challenges and requirements of the marginalized sections of society. This experience deepened my understanding of their needs and further fuelled my determination to serve and uplift the downtrodden masses.

After my extensive work with different organizations, I am now thrilled to be part of Genesis Foundation, an NGO working for congenital heart defects dedicated to saving little hearts. This opportunity provides immense satisfaction as I support needy families in securing life-saving surgeries for their children. Witnessing the post-surgery recovery and the ensuing happiness it brings to families fills me with profound joy, pride, and a sense of fulfilment in the cause I am passionately associated with.

I am profoundly grateful to God for guiding me toward a career that embraces the human touch and allows me to be a part of countless families’ stories of joy and transformation. It is a blessing to witness the positive impact I can make in people’s lives through my work.  I have always dreamed of joining an NGO working for congenital heart disease, as their noble mission to save lives and provide support to underprivileged families in India truly inspires me to dedicate myself to a meaningful social cause and that is one of the primary reasons why I joined Genesis Foundation.
