Every year, nestled in the scenic hills of Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, an extraordinary music event comes alive, one that marries the joy of music with the heartfelt mission of saving little hearts.

Yes, we’re talking about the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival (KRBF), the annual music festival that was conceived by Genesis Foundation in 2012. This Kasauli music festival is a beacon of hope, blending melody with compassion, and making a measurable difference in the lives of critically ill children.

How the Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival 2026 Is Helping Save Little Hearts?

More than 200,000 children are diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) in India, every year. This is considering a birth prevalence of 9/1000 and about one-fifth of them will need early intervention in their first year. While many of these conditions are treatable, access to timely and affordable cardiac care remains out of reach for countless families.

This is where the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival comes into action. More than a music festival, it is a lifeline for children who otherwise would have missed a fighting chance at life. A chance to live happily and healthily and dream bigger.

Believing strongly that music is a positive and participatory force in the creation of change, the foundation invites established and upcoming artistes from India’s diverse pool of musical talent to perform here. They perform for the foundation’s cause- to support critically ill, and under-privileged children suffering from congenital heart defects (CHD). Music aficionados can contribute to the cause by simply doing what they love, that is listening and grooving to the beats of music. 100% of funds raised from individual donors are dedicated towards treatment of critically ill children as all overhead costs are borne by the trustees.

Last year, through our Kasauli music festival 2025, we were able to support 11 children, who got critical heart treatment and a fighting chance at life.

The Impact of Music Festivals with Charity Cause

The Kasauli Blues festival has ripple effects that extend deep into communities. The funds, awareness, and networks built through KRBF help Genesis Foundation in the following ways:

  • To expand our reach to more families who would otherwise lack access to pediatric heart care
  • To build a sustained donor and partner community
  • To raise awareness about congenital heart defects, inspiring advocacy and earlier diagnosis
