March 31, 2025 | Contributed by Charu Dhasmana
Every child deserves a healthy heart, yet for many underprivileged families, access to life-saving treatments remains an unattainable dream. Genesis Foundation supports underprivileged children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defects. They provide financial resources for heart treatment for underprivileged children within the age group of 0-18 years and from families with a monthly income that does not exceed Rs. 20,000. Every rupee donated by an individual donor goes directly towards a child’s heart treatment with no allocation towards administrative costs.
By making a congenital heart disease donation, you can play a pivotal role in saving a young life. In this article, we will explore how your donation helps a child get treated at Genesis Foundation.
How is your donation used at Genesis Foundation?
Your congenital heart disease donation will be exclusively used for the medical treatment of a child suffering from a congenital heart defect. At Genesis Foundation, 100% of donations for children received from individual donors are used for the treatment of a child with zero allocations towards administrative expenses.
Till now the Foundation has given life a chance to 4900+ children born with a heart defect. Some of the cases they have supported have been very critical cases where without an immediate intervention the child would not have been able to survive.
Congenital Heart Defects are of different types and the treatment varies depending on the type of defect. The average costs vary from Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 3 Lakhs depending on the type of defect. Depending on the amount you donate, the congenital heart disease donation will be used to support the complete treatment of a child or be combined with the donation received from other donors to save a little heart.
Transparent Donations
Once the congenital heart disease donation provided by you has been utilized, you will receive a communication regarding how the donation has been used. We are one of the most trusted children’s charities and we value the trust our donors have placed in us and ensure that we maintain 100 % transparency with respect to the donations we have received from them. Your support directly translates into a second chance at life for a little heart in need.
Ensuring Donor Privacy
At Genesis Foundation, we deeply value every donor, and therefore, keep their personal details secure in our database. We keep their information strictly confidential and make sure that we do not share the information with any external parties.
