“Stories have the power to create social change and inspire community.” — Terry Tempest Williams
Ever since I was young, I have always turned to writing. As a kid, I would scribble in my school notebook and as a teenager, I would pour down my thoughts into a diary. Back then, it was just something I did for myself. But slowly, it became more than just a habit. Writing became a way to reach people. A way to give voice to stories that deserve to be heard. And, in some way, a way to make a difference.
Where it All Began
I studied English Honours at Delhi University, and those three years were more than just academics, they were a turning point. I discovered how powerful language can be. It was not just about reading classics, it was about seeing how ideas are shaped, how words can spark emotion, shift thinking, and even start conversations that matter.
Books became more than just stories to me. They became a safe space for me. In the moments of uncertainty and doubt, books became my companion. Books always said the things I could not. They gave me the exact words I did not know I needed. And over time, they made me believe that stories can do more than just tell. They can heal, hold space, and make people feel understood.
Passion into Profession
After graduating, I stepped into the world of digital content. For the next three years, I wrote just about everything-SEO blogs, website content, social media posts, for a mix of brands and platforms. From lifestyle to education to corporate clients, each space taught me something new.
But somewhere along the way, I started wanting more. Something more than clicks or conversions. I wanted to write stories that mattered. Stories that stayed with people. That made them think or feel something real.
And that’s when my journey took a more purposeful turn…
That is when I found Genesis Foundation, an NGO for child heart treatment, that helps children born with congenital heart defects (CHD) get access to life-saving medical care.

Here, every story is personal. Every line I write carries someone’s hope, someone’s struggle, someone’s triumph. These are not just updates or reports. These are real children, real families, real doctors, and real donors coming together to make healing happen.
My Role at Genesis Foundation
At Genesis Foundation India, I share stories of little fighters—children who have braved more than most adults ever will. I write about parents who refused to give up, and about doctors who perform miracles in operation theatres. I write about the donors whose kindness gives these stories a chance to continue.
Each story is a window into a world many do not see. And each one is a reminder of why awareness matters. Maybe a parent reads a blog and learns to spot early signs of CHD. Maybe someone feels moved to donate. Maybe a volunteer is inspired and wants to help.
That is the power of writing. It moves people. It calls for change. If my words can make someone stop, think and get them to care a little more, that is enough. That is everything.
