As Debasish Mridha said, “Music can heal the wounds that medicine cannot touch” Music is something which I am pretty sure everyone is fond of. It improves our health and well-being. There was this study done from Harvard that music may lower down the blood pressure and heart rate. It helps in improving the mood and reduce anxiety and with that it helps in bringing people together under same roof.
Music plays a crucial role in emotional regulation. It can recall a wide range of emotions, from joy to sadness, and can be a valuable tool for self-expression. It helps to reduce the stress levels. Music has the ability of heal, uplift a person.
It’s difficult for me to explain, but music plays a huge role in my mental wellness. I still try to recall the day when I listened to music for the first time as a kid, I never had much interest in that area. But even so, I loved listening to music, attending concerts and seeing TV shows related to music. The relationship I’ve developed with music over the years is the one I’ve come to cherish. There are many different genres of music I love, and each of them plays a specific role in my life. There are go-to songs I want to play when I’m excited, when I’m anxious, when I’m sad and when I’m depressed. Music has been beneficial for my mental health for a long time now.
I even get immense joy from seeing other people use music to express themselves. Through music, we see people work their way through the ups and downs of life. We see them deal with things like grief and trauma, but also with joy and happiness. We see them being human.
Music is more than just entertainment; it has the power to heal, uplift, and connect. Music has been used not only to express emotions and tell stories but also to bring about change and create a positive impact on society. The Kasauli Music Festival organized by Genesis Foundation, a Child Heart Foundation in India, is an extreme celebration of how music can transform lives. This festival not only brings together talented musicians from around the world, but it also serves a greater purpose—supporting underprivileged children for their heart surgeries.
Through Kasauli Music Festival, Genesis Foundation is bringing people together to support a social cause. the social motive behind it. This Music Festival in Kasauli was started by Genesis Foundation in 2012 for supporting the needy children suffering from congenital heart defect. This festival happens annually during the easter weekend.
