Genesis Foundation Team
Miecckey Bharrucha has spent many years in the hospitality industry and was the CEO of a leading hospital in Delhi before she took on the role of Project Coordinator of Genesis Foundation. As Principal Coordinator, Genesis Foundation, she focuses on fund raising through events, individual donations supported by corporates (Give as You Earn programme) and oversees and extends support to the team wherever required. “We are so blessed with what we have. Working with Genesis Foundation and the little children we support gives me tremendous satisfaction. I am happy to contribute even if in a small way, to help bring happiness into the lives of these children.”
Nanni Singh has helped many people in one way or another but has dedicated a large part of her time to Thalassemics India. She focuses on the SmilesStore, and corporate marketing tie-ups at Genesis Foundation. Nanni says she became a part of Genesis Foundation to help ‘Give Life a Chance’
Tripti Someshwar has been associated with GF since 2008. Tripti heads the HOPE programme and meets the families needing support. Doctors ,Hospitals , NGO’s and Homes for children get in touch with Tripti whenever they come across a child needing medical help and after due diligence a case is taken up by the foundation.
Tripti is a Law Graduate and a Special Educator and has vast experience of working with persons with disability and is actively involved in finding jobs for them and integrating them into the society. “Working with children keeps me in good cheer and the smiles of kids who are recovering after treatment, made possible due to timely help from GF is my motivation to be part of the foundation”.
Kavita Nayyar, who assists the fund raising initiatives with a focus on events, another member who is settling back in India. Kavita is a MBA in marketing with several years of global experience in program management. After taking a break from the corporate world to raise her daughter, she returned to work with Genesis Foundation, to pursue her desire to help children in need.
Volunteers
Sumi Sethi has always been passionate about social work and children. Wherever she goes, she volunteered and worked with NGOs. She was a long time volunteer with CNIB (http://cnib.ca). After having traveled around the world for over 26 years, she is now based in Gurgaon. She wanted to establish social work for children in India. Sumi is responsible for the expansion of Genesis Foundation to other cities in India and abroad.
Marielle Holmblad is a nursing student from the US and has been in India since the summer of 2009. She is keen to learn about the Indian culture and adversities faced by the lesser privileged in India. Marielle’s interest in the medical care system and her interest in children resulted in her being a volunteer with Genesis Foundation.
Yu Yu Din has been involved with non-profits since she was a teenager handling projects from fund raising to establishing projects into sustainable organizations. Her career started when she was 16 with Globalvision, Inc., a non-profit production company after making her first film. A writer, editor and Internet marketer she is passionate about using social media for social change. She has been involved with a number of NGOs in India and around the world including Elaan, Permaculture India, and TCKid.
Susan Lobo has worked as an In-Flight Coordinator with Pan American Airlines for 5 years and then a Trainer and Facilitator with Delta Airlines for a further 6 years. After which she has been a homemaker; but involved herself with children between the ages of 6-14 in Japan, China and the U.S, while volunteering in elementary schools tutoring and mentoring less privileged children in areas of Math and Reading. While in India she wants to involve herself in various activities especially for under privileged children and orphans. She loves to travel, paint, quilt and garden.
