On November 13^th Genesis Foundation (GF) celebrated CHILDREN’S DAY with a picnic for lesser privileged children, at Leisure Valley Park, Gurgaon.

Children from NGOs supported by Genesis Foundation were invited for the event. A total of a 85 children between the ages of 4 to 16 years were present for the event from the following organisations, Handicapped Children’s Rehabilitation Association (HCRA), CanKids, Children of the World, Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW)-Palna, The Shelter and Saambhavi.

Groups of cheerful and enthusiastic children arrived at the venue and by noon the park was filled with the chatter of happy children, looking forward to day filled with fun and entertainment.

The fun filled afternoon began with an absorbing magic show and the children soon got completely involved into it. The Tattoo painting and hair braiding corner was another popular activity among the kids. The drawing competition and games organised for different age groups kept the children engrossed. They enjoyed the obstacle race thoroughly and later all the children came up with some very creative artwork. Children who participated in the various games were extremely competitive and eagerly looked forward to winning and taking home prizes.

Afterwards all the children settled down to enjoy their lunch boxes and delicious Pizzas provided by our support sponsors Pizza Hut. GF’s other support sponsor PepsiCo provided Tropicana fruit juice, Cheetos and Aquafina mineral water.

The day ended with another magic show. Finally the children walked away with beaming faces and return gifts in their hands.

On Dec 4th 2010, Genesis Foundation set up their Wishing Tree at The Epicenter, Gurgaon. Children from Jeevan Jyoti (Missionaries of Charity) along with many other children had a great time decorating the tree with ornaments, snow and a paper chain that they made themselves. They created a beautiful Christmas Tree and started off the festive season with a wonderful chorus of Christmas carols.

You can Give Life a Chance this festive season. Contribute generously at the ‘Wishing Tree’ donation box at Epicenter in support of treatment of critically ill children. Donations can be made in cash or cheque in favour of Genesis Foundation.

All over the country, CHILDREN’S DAY was celebrated in many different ways. On this day Genesis Foundation got an opportunity for doing something special for the wonderful children we support.

Children’s Day Sunday, November 14th was a beautiful sunny morning at Leisure Valley Park, Gurgaon. The park was the venue for a picnic for lesser privileged children organized by Genesis Foundation (GF).

Children from NGOs supported by Genesis Foundation were invited for the event. A total of a 95 children between the ages of 4 to 16 years from the following organisations were present, Handicapped Children’s Rehabilitation Association (HCRA), Children of the World, Delhi Council for Child Welfare (DCCW) and Thalassemics India.

The children arrived at the venue full of enthusiasm, looking forward to a fun filled afternoon of games and entertainment. On arrival they were entertained with a fascinating magic show.

By noon the garden was filled with peals of laughter and the sound of children happy to be out in the open. Prior to lunch they relished eating popcorn, Cheetos and drinking mango and strawberry flavored Nutrifit.

The Tattoo painting and hair braiding corner was a big hit among the kids. Card making and games organised for different age groups kept the children engrossed. Children who participated in the various games were extremely competitive and eagerly looked forward to winning and taking home prizes.It was a delight to watch them run across the grounds for the obstacle race, where they had to pick up and wear sunglasses, collect a back pack and then pack it with a Frisbee and popcorn packet before running back to the finish line. Next they settled down to a drawing competition making innovative cards. Several of the children came up with some very creative artwork on Pollution and Save the Environment. Post lunch the winners of the games and the drawing competition were called to collect their prizes.

GE volunteers supported the Foundation’s efforts in making this event a tremendous success; they organized the games, gifts and delicious lunch boxes. GF’s other support sponsors, Mother Diary distributed Nutrifit and ice creams, PepsiCo provided Tropicana fruit juice, Cheetos and Aquafina mineral water.

The day ended with all the children walking away with return gifts and a radiant smile on their faces. A Children’s Day they will always cherish.

Saturday, February 27, 2010 saw residents of DLF Aralias and Friends of Genesis Foundation support the Grey Goose Cocktail Evening whilst savoring exciting cocktails. The proceeds from the event which was supported by Bacardi Martini India, Client Associates and DLF Aralias Club went towards 2 critically ill children . 

Arijit Bose (better known as Shorty), Grey Goose Brand Ambassador, delighted the crowd by giving a live demonstration of  four different cocktails, Grey Goose Classic Martini, Grey Goose Pomegranate, Grey Goose Jalapeno Drop and Grey Goose Cosmopolitan. Volunteers were selected from the audience to help make, shake and sample the cocktails which were then served to all the guests. 

The Grey Goose Jalapeno Drop was voted the most popular cocktail of the evening. Dominique’s live band kept feet tapping and many guests took to the floor to shake a leg. 

After much drinking and dancing the evening was concluded with Prema taking the mike to inform everyone on the work undertaken by the Foundation and to thank the guests for their interest and support. 

At the end of the event, all guests were delighted to recieve minature Grey Goose bottles along with a receipe booklet of the cocktails served.
